Under our charter from the Grand Lodge of Kentucky, F&AM, recognized by the United Grand Lodge of England, Buechel Lodge No. 896 actively participates in educational sessions, philanthropic activities, and the development of brotherhood among our members. Our goal is to help good people become better. We achieve this through moderated educational discussions, expert presentations, and support for charitable organizations such as the Masonic Homes of Kentucky, RiteCare, Kosair for Kids, and many others. Our lodge has been home to distinguished members, including veterans and community leaders, who have made significant contributions to both our organization and the broader community.

We invite all Master Masons interested in joining our meetings and participating in our initiatives aimed at personal growth and community well-being. Masons of lower degrees are welcome to our meals and to participate in the educational presentations at most meetings.
And if you’re not a Mason but are interested in learning more about our fraternity, just ask us! The basic criteria for becoming a member of Buechel are:
- Belief in God
- Be a man of good reputation, 18 years or older
- Be a resident of Louisville, Kentucky
- Be recommended by two members of the Lodge
- Receive a unanimous vote for membership
